Taking someone's photo is important, intimate work. Everyone, both photographer and client, wants their photos to display powerful, real connections, but those connections can only manifest themselves during a photo session if you begin building the clients' trust from the first inquiry and never stop - even long after your time together is finished. In this classroom business session, attendees will learn that real connections happen during photo sessions if you are willing to face your own vulnerability and fears when it's time to press the shutter. Giving the complete photography experience means that you've begun to establish a friendship before you meet for the session by showing them who you are and what your values are, getting in deep with your clients during the session and giving them a safe place to truly open up and show the most authentic version of themselves, and following up with them to make sure that those images get displayed in their homes and do not sit idly in a folder on their hard drives. From first inquiry through the in-person sales appointment, this course will show you the true value of what you can do and provide a toolbox of tips for how to improve your photography business.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn how to establish a connection with your client through the inquiry process and explain why having a pre-consultation on the phone or in person is so important to building their trust.
2. Learn to tap into your own vulnerability and fears so that your clients will have a safe space to let down their guard and give you authentic moments to photograph.
3. Learn tips to help your clients tap into their true emotions and have real connections that make them remember the session as more than someone just taking their photo.
4. Understand the importance of in-person sales, both for your business and your clients' lives.
5. Learn simple tips on how to start building a brand that reflects who you are and attracts the clients that you want to work with.
6. See why the business of photography is more than just taking pictures and that photographing clients goes beyond the session.
