Personalized Portraits: Get to Know Your Senior Client and Capture Meaningful Photos (Leslie Kerrigan)

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

With so many photographers and so many seniors, how can you make sure that each one of your clients stands out? In this program, attendees will learn how to get to know their senior clients and take that information and apply it to each senior shoot in order to create a personalized shoot that tells the story of each senior client through their photos. This program will be a combination of instruction and shooting so attendees should bring their camera, plenty of memory cards and their favorite lenses. I will begin the program with instruction on what you can do prior to the actual session to help you get to know your senior and be able to tell their story with your camera. After the instruction period, we will split up into small groups and photograph styled seniors. I will be there to help you with posing, lighting and more to make sure you get the most out of your experience during this program. You will get the experience of a real styled senior shoot while having me on hand to provide tricks and tips to create amazing images.

You will learn:
- What to do before the session to get to know each and every senior
- How to incorporate what you learn about the senior into their session
- Posing and ighting to make sure you get the best possible photos of each senior
- How to interact with seniors to make sure their personalities shine through

Location:
This outdoor Boutique Program will take place around Pike Place Market, the Gum Wall and Post Alley, and/or the waterfront.

This urban area provides a lot of opportunities for interesting backgrounds and is only a few blocks away from the Westin. Pike Place Market is a busy urban market that is an iconic tourist destination. The Gum Wall and Post Alley provide interesting urban street scenes, as well as great color and texture. Beyond the Market, Gum Wall, and Post Alley, your group may venture down to the waterfront. The waterfront boardwalk area is a lovely place for capturing scenic shots of the sky, cityscape, and the ferris wheel. Please note that there are many steps required to get from the market to the waterfront. There is a small elevator available. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to walk to Pike Place Market from the Westin, and the waterfront is an additional 10 minutes beyond the Market. To return to the Westin from the waterfront at the conclusion of the program (remember this walk is uphill), please budget 20-25 minutes.
