Limited Capacity full

This 90-minute hands-on session will focus on using indoor natural light and composition to create artistic children’s imagery. It will begin with a brief discussion of both light and composition and the roles each play not only in shaping mood and message but also in the creation of compelling photographs. This discussion will be followed by the hands-on shooting portion of the program where the instructor will guide participants through various lighting and composition setups/opportunities, both posed and spontaneous, with several young subjects in a lifestyle setting.

At the conclusion of this program, students will have a better understanding of how to:
1) recognize directional light opportunities - front light, side light, back light
2) manipulate light with available modifiers
3) identify unique composition opportunities - framing, lines, negative space, depth, perspective, etc.
4) incorporate available indoor light and environmental elements into their workflow to create stronger, more compelling and artistic images
