Limited Capacity filling up

Light is everything in photography, and I’m going to show you how I use it to take my images to the next level. I’ll take you on a “visual light tour” and we’ll go out searching for all types of light scenarios. I’ll show you how different an image can be just by changing how you are using the light that is given to you. This will be a hands-on program with lots of experimenting and photographing models in all different kinds of light. I'll cover my settings in all situations. Bring your camera and lenses, and a notebook to jot down some notes. I will open up the last 10 minutes of class for a question and answer session.

Learn:
How to find the light
How light changes an image
Camera settings to change the appearance of an image
About low light and how it can enhance the details
How I work with the light that is given to me

Location:
This outdoor Boutique Program will take place at Sculpture Park.

Sculpture Park will give you plenty of beautiful water views, a very small area (about the width of a boat launch) of water access in the vicinity, greenery, and interesting urban spaces/sculptures. There is an interesting pier right next to the park with a great set of buildings and an open parking lot providing nice shade/open shade areas. Moving away from the Sculpture Park and back towards Pike Place Market (and the Westin), there are streets with some colorful or patina walls and interesting urban fixtures.

Travel time to the Sculpture Park can take 25-30 minutes. Attendees will walk briskly to the location, learn and shoot onsite, and then return to the Westin at a leisurely pace at the conclusion of the program so smaller groups can shoot in the variety of scenic spots on the way back. Remember that the walk back to the Westin is uphill, so travel times when returning to the hotel will likely be a bit longer.
