In this shooting demonstration, I am going to show students exactly how I would run a lifestyle family session in an urban location using a family with 2 or 3 children. You will learn my district family session flow, be able to observe me interacting with and posing families, and see how I guide families into natural and genuine connections. We will walk through all my favorite shooting spots in the Pike Place Market and end on my favorite pier by the water. You will have the chance to photograph the family, however the main goal will be to watch how I run a family session.

Location:
This outdoor Boutique Program will take place around Pike Place Market, the Gum Wall and Post Alley, and/or the waterfront.

This urban area provides a lot of opportunities for interesting backgrounds and is only a few blocks away from the Westin. Pike Place Market is a busy urban market that is an iconic tourist destination. The Gum Wall and Post Alley provide interesting urban street scenes, as well as great color and texture. Beyond the Market, Gum Wall, and Post Alley, your group may venture down to the waterfront. The waterfront boardwalk area is a lovely place for capturing scenic shots of the sky, cityscape, and the ferris wheel. Please note that there are many steps required to get from the market to the waterfront. There is a small elevator available. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to walk to Pike Place Market from the Westin, and the waterfront is an additional 10 minutes beyond the Market. To return to the Westin from the waterfront at the conclusion of the program (remember this walk is uphill), please budget 20-25 minutes.
