Limited Capacity filling up

I am drawn to joyful images with hair flying, real smiles, honest laughter, and fun. This program would be designed towards photographers looking to connect with their clients on a deeper level and capture pure joy. To me, couples sessions are meant to be fun and show off quirky, beautiful relationships. I feel that everyone looks better with a smile, especially couples! I will give a variety of posing tips to create natural movement and expression while focusing on the connection between the couple. I will provide information on interacting with couples to get authentic joy and love in every image. I will share information on engagements, weddings, booking clients, keeping clients happy, and answer any questions about from attendees during my presentation.

Attendees will be shooting alongside me during this demonstration, with a lovely couple modeling an engagement style session. Please bring your camera and favorite lenses for shooting outdoors. There is no prerequisite for attendees to shoot in manual mode, however I do recommend shooting in manual in backlit lighting situations for proper exposure. Photographers of all levels can learn from the hands-on posing elements of this class.

This class will start with a brief introduction into the world of engagement and wedding photography. As we begin the shooting demonstration we will discuss how to quickly scout a location to see beautiful light, where to place couples in that light, and how to begin using their connection with each other to achieve a feeling of authenticity in their images. There is a level of trust that needs to be earned during a session so the clients feel safe to be themselves and show off the happiness they feel in their relationship, and I will go over how I work to earn and keep that trust.

Learning Objectives:
1. How to interact and connect with clients before and during a photo session. Connection with clients is as important as their connection with each other. In order to capture authentic moments between them they have to trust you to be close to them and be a part of their personal space.
2. How to pose couples to best capture joyful moments.
3. How to naturally create a sense of movement in images.
4. How to move quickly through a session using natural elements and available light to obtain beautiful final images.

Location:
This outdoor Boutique Program will take place at Westlake Park and/or the streets around the Westin and Westlake Center Mall.

Westlake Park and the streets around the Westin and Westlake Center Mall will provide an urban background without venturing too far. It takes approximately 3-5 minutes to travel to these locations.
