Often in a real life wedding scenario, you get approximately 30 minutes to shoot the bride and groom by themselves. In this styled shooting demo and group shoot, I will explain how I prep before a shoot like this, how I choose where I am going to shoot, and how I direct the couple to get the most variety of shots in a short amount of time. This session will help you learn different techniques to capture a variety of shots for the couple in a short time. Learn how to shoot editorial poses, solo portraits, detail shots, and action shots and give your own personal wedding portfolio a boost with a beautifully styled couple complete with full wedding attire and flowers. I will help direct the couple while participants take turns photographing the couple to get the variety of shots. At the end of this program there will be time for image review, questions on posing, and more shooting practice.

Learning objectives:
1. Learn how to shoot and deliver a variety of shots on a wedding day, including portraits, candid, editorial, and details, with only a short amount of time.
2. Learn how to turn ordinary shots and poses into modern and editorial works of art using what you have around you.
3. Learn how to create the types of shots you want to represent your brand and execute them in almost any time and setting, using a real bride and groom.
4. Shoot a styled bride and groom on the streets of Seattle with the goal of creating portfolio-worthy images.

Location:
This outdoor Boutique Program will take place around Pike Place Market, the Gum Wall and Post Alley, and/or the waterfront.

This urban area provides a lot of opportunities for interesting backgrounds and is only a few blocks away from the Westin. Pike Place Market is a busy urban market that is an iconic tourist destination. The Gum Wall and Post Alley provide interesting urban street scenes, as well as great color and texture. Beyond the Market, Gum Wall, and Post Alley, your group may venture down to the waterfront. The waterfront boardwalk area is a lovely place for capturing scenic shots of the sky, cityscape, and the ferris wheel. Please note that there are many steps required to get from the market to the waterfront. There is a small elevator available. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to walk to Pike Place Market from the Westin, and the waterfront is an additional 10 minutes beyond the Market. To return to the Westin from the waterfront at the conclusion of the program (remember this walk is uphill), please budget 20-25 minutes.
